Application scores are developed using the information provided by the customer on the application. This information can be augmented by credit bureau reports and information from any existing relationship with the customer. In general these scores are used to predict the probability of the customer defaulting and are used to underwrite a credit proposal.
Behaviour scores are developed using the information on the account activity of an existing customer. Where customers have more that one account it is possible to develop an overall customer score using information from all accounts. These score are used for multiple purposes but are generally used for risk management and marketing purposes.
